dc.description.abstractThe study sought to assess primary teacher’s knowledge and attitude towards climate change: a case of Bamunanika County, Luweero District. In particular, it sought to assess primary school teacher’s i) knowledge of climate change; ii) attitude towards climate change and iii) to find out the relationship between primary school teachers knowledge and attitudes towards climate change. A cross sectional survey research design was used and both quantitative and qualitative data was collected. The sample size comprised of 214 primary school teachers. The results show that primary teacher’s did not have satisfactory knowledge on climate change.There was a significant positive relationship between teachers knowledge and attitude towards climate change was established. Thus, as teachers knowledge increase, their attitude towards addressing climate change impacts also improves. To increase climate change knowledge among primary school teachers, the government is recommended to do the following; develop a policy to promote climate change education at primary school level; use media to provide information/teaching materials for promoting awareness on climate change knowledge and attitude among the primary school teachers.en_US
