Aspects of food shortages in Tanganyika (1925-45)

Abstract

The problem of food hunger and shortage has attracted the attention of scholars from a number of different disciplines. Members of the medical profession are interested in the problem largely because of its direct physiological manifestation. A school in anthropology considers food production as a vital determinant of human behaviour.
