dc.description.abstract | Issues of ownership and management of communally used natural resources are becoming a growing concern in East Africa. Many Countries are in the process of analyzing and formulating policies in regard to tenure and sustainable management of these common property resources. In the case of Uganda, a number of factors including social, economic and political ones, have greatly affected the existence and state of these resources in the recent past. Changes in these factors have often resulted in the emergence of different local tenure systems in different wetland areas in Uganda. | en_GB |
