The rat was commissioned by Mitchel hall. The rat has been presented in human form as though they were a human being donning an undergraduate gown. The rat is characterized by exaggerated genitals to make it clear that Michel is a hall of male residents. It may also suggest the aspiration of students as dominant leaders. The rat is presented as holding a lamp to suggest that students of Mitchel to be the source of enlightenment on campus. The presentation of the rat with the mouth open seems to suggest a sense of leadership that students give to the university. Sculptures have colors.en_US
