    Abstract
This is a report of a project study that was carried out for Buwunga Estates in Kawempe. It is a Windows Application Information Management System with an objective of presenting the management of Buwunga Estates a simpler way to; keep track of total number of rooms, vacant rooms, occupied rooms, the occupants’ information, and payment details. This solves problems like inefficiency in record keeping and error prone cost distribution among others. To come up with the system, data was collected through interviewing of the manager and observing the activities at the apartments. The information collected was analyzed then used to design and implement the system. The system was developed using Visual Basic 2008 and SQL Server 2005. Visual Basic 2008 was used in designing the system interfaces; SQL Server 2005 was used to design the system database as well as serving as the system server. The system database stores the Buwunga Estates information about the total number of rooms, vacant rooms, occupied rooms, the occupants’ information, and payment details. The stored information is displayed in form of reports. Also, the system manages errors during data entry and processing. It also has user friendly interfaces that are used to input data into the system database as shown in the system design and implementation.
