| Issue Date: | Aug-2006 |
| Abstract: | A critical challenge faced by many companies is deciding how to allocate their income among the different expenses in order to minimize their costs, while increasing their profits. To achieve this a number of approaches have been used. In this study a computer based optimization system that guides companies on how to best allocate their income among the company expenses under the budget and priority constraints was developed. The system allows the company to enter their expenses and calculates the exact portion of the company income to allocate to that particular expense. It was developed using Microsoft SQL server 2005 and Microsoft Visual C#. Optimization systems are surveyed and a general approach to optimizing money expenditure is discussed. The main strength of the system is that optimizing money expenditure can significantly help companies know the exact portion of their income to be spent on a particular item. |
