| Issue Date: | 2010 |
| Abstract: | Goiter is still common in Uganda, despite adequate use of iodised salt that is 95% coverage indicating adequate supplementation. Studies done elsewhere in the world have shown an association between continued existences of endemic goiter with selenium deficiency after adequate iodine supplementation. Selenium deficiency could be a factor for continued existence of goiter. |
